The Multifaceted mission support specialists, Theyab International Group Defense & Security (TIG-DS), has expanded its growing portfolio of services through a joint venture agreement with the Dubai- based risk management technologists, Red Solutions.
The Abu Dhabi company announced earlier this month, it had signed a joint venture agreement under the brand ‘TIG- RED’ to provide a range of technical and professional engineering services including hardware and software development, systems design and systems integration focusing on the defense and security markets.
“The joint venture Agreement will leverage Red Solutions’ existing infrastructure and past experience in delivering physical and electronic security as a platform, upon which a number of specific product and service offerings will be built,” said Khaled Al Alawi, TIG-DS Vice Chairman.
“These will include conventional physical and security solutions for strategically important clients, RF spectrum management solutions, integrated mobile and transportable systems, and remotely managed services for security and defense assets.
Red Solutions CTO Geoff Moore estimates that the market for such specialized offerings in the UAE alone will be worth as much as US$ 5 billion in the next 5 years across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Critical National Infrastructure and so forth.
“TIG-RED will target areas of innovation relating to the company’s core service offerings,” said Mr. Geoff Moore, CTO of Red Solutions.
TIG-DS – part of a diversified business group chaired by Sheikh Theyab bin Khalifa bin Hamdan Al Nahyan – has a wide defense and security portfolio that includes the manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles, mission support services, heavy equipment, ordinance, and programs associated with maritime protection and detection systems.
“The group approached us 8 months ago seeking a systems integration partner,” said Simon Precious, CEO of Red Solutions, “and it was clear from the very beginning that our organizations’ goals and aspirations aligned well.”
“We will endeavor to create new propositions, and assist in the identification and development of technical opportunities through partnerships and acquisitions where appropriate,” said TIG’s vice chairman Khalid Al Alawi. “At the heart of our offering will be systems that have been designed and integrated in the UAE for worldwide deployment.”
TIG-RED, along with a number of their partners will be demonstrating a range of advanced technologies on February 22 to 26, 2015 at IDEX in Abu Dhabi (Stand UM-44) focusing on :
• Protection of linear assets, such as pipelines, railroads and borders
• Radio Frequency spectrum control
• Mission support technologies
• Detection and screening
• Asset management, and
• Conventional security solutions
