DCNS is a world leader in naval defence and an innovator in energy. As a naval prime contractor, shipbuilder and systems integrator, DCNS combines resources and expertise spanning the naval defence value chain and entire system lifecycles. DCNS delivers innovative solutions from integrated warships to strategic systems, equipment, services and new energy solutions. DCNS will participate to NAVDEX and IDEX exhibitions in Abu Dhabi from 22 to 26 February 2015. It is a chance for DCNS to showcase its expertise in this key export market and to meet key players.

DCNS’s product portfolio includes naval systems for surface combatants, submarines, services, underwater weapons, simulators for initial and ongoing crew training, and innovative solutions in marine renewable energy (MRE). Technologically complex programs are DCNS’s core area of expertise. The keys to managing complexity begin with a talented workforce and training in the relevant technologies, combined with team-building skills to bring together DCNS centres, customers and industrial partners. For over ten years now, DCNS has been managing its industrial activities on environment-friendly lines. The Group is currently carrying out programs for clients on four continents. The submarine program for Brazilian Navy, which is a world first in terms of scale, is now in the production phase. Furthermore, the contracts DCNS won in Egypt and Malaysia for Gowind corvettes confirm DCNS offering’s growing competitive potential.

Gowind are an exceptional tool for missions ranging from counter-piracy to sea control and denial including anti-submarine warfare operations. These corvettes have been designed to be simple to operate, easy to maintain and efficient. Gowind® platforms and mission systems can be tailored to customer requirements for an optimum trade-off between homeland security and naval combat capabilities.

The DCNS exhibit at IDEX will feature the FREMM Frigate, OPV 90, Gowind 2500, the Scorpene 2000 submarine and the MU 90.

DCNS also exhibits the following products at NAVDEX: FREMM, Gowind 2500 and Gowind 1000, Scorpene 1000 submarine, F21 and Contralto S.

Furthermore DCNS will present its service’s offer. It includes Through-life Support, Modernisation and training through agreements and partnerships with local shipyards and contractors.

DCNS is also at the forefront of developments in Marine Renewable Energies, a rising and promising new business sector. The Group is the only manufacturer in the world to explore four of the main technologies: tidal energy, floating wind energy, ocean thermal energy conversion, wave energy.

DCNS local and long-term commitment in the Emirates is illustrated by the Group’s decision to set up an office in U.A.E in 2010 in order to strengthen links with GCC countries.
