Bosnia and Herzegovina Receives French COMET Drones and RAPAS Simulator Under NATO Programme

The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have received two French-made COMET drones and a RAPAS simulator as part of a NATO initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s defence capabilities, AdriaDefense reports.

The equipment is intended to support operator training and develop Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capabilities in unmanned aerial systems, including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

The delivery represents a step towards improving the technical readiness of the Armed Forces and expanding their ability to operate modern unmanned systems. Training simulators can help personnel develop operational skills while reducing the need to use live equipment during initial training.

The programme also reflects broader NATO efforts to strengthen partner countries’ defence capabilities through equipment support, training and improved interoperability.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, the introduction of the French systems provides an opportunity to build expertise in drone operations, an increasingly important area of modern military planning.
