Russian Supercam tactical UAVs show great performance on the battle field in Ukraine and during international strategic exercise in Belarus, Tajikistan and Kirgizstan
The Russian “Unmanned Systems” group of companies under the auspices of Rosoboronexport JSC will present unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Supercam line at the Dubai Airshow 2025 international Aviation and space exhibition.
Dubai Airshow-2025 will be the premiere venue for a completely new product under the Supercam brand, the Supercam S180 high—speed reconnaissance UAV,” the developer wrote on his Telegram channel.
What’s more to see at the expo is the famous company’s flagship dual-purpose drone Supercam S350, Supercam SX350 tiltrotor and Supercam X4 copter.
Russian Supercam UAVs become more and more popular as the Special Military Operation in Ukraine goes on. Beside the fact that the Supercam S350 reconnaissance and surveillance drones are one of leading UAVs that coordinate and target the MLRS and artillery units – they are also actively used by the Russian and Belarussian troops in exercise such as CSTO and the joint strategic exercise “Zapad-2025” (WEST-2025).
The scenarios of Collective Security Treaty Organization drills in Belarus held in early September 2025 were based on the experience of the real combat operations in modern armed conflicts. According to the legend of the exercises the imaginary enemy’s troops broke though the border of a CSTO member state and the Collective Forces conducted reconnaissance and inflicted fire damage to stabilized the situation. One of the leading roles in intelligence operations was conducted by the Supercam S350 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Belarus that provided the situational awareness throughout the operation. Supercam S350 UAVs also conducted reconnaissance mission during CSTO drills in Tadjikistan and Kirgistanthis fall.
What’s interesting is the premiere performance of the dual-purpose Supercam X4 multirotor drones that were for the first time used during the drills to carry and drop explosives — as part of the CSTO exercises they dropped two high-explosive fragmentation warheads, each weighing 0.5 kg, onto a camp of imaginary illegal armed groups. The same mission was completed during the “Zapad-2025” drills.
Both Supercam UAVs are about to be presented at the Dubai Airshow-2025 in UAE this November as part of the joint Russian exposition in the country’s pavilion.
Both Russian and Belorussian military men emphasize the great characteristic of the Supercam S350 UAV. According to the operator of the aviation unit of the UAS squadron from Belarus, Supercam S350 is the most convenient drone to operate, and one of its main advantages is that it cannot be intercepted or hijacked. “It has an innovative infrastructure system, thanks to which it can carry out tasks without the use of satellites, it is resistant to various interferences and can adjust itself” — the Belarusian Defense Ministry noted. The drone can conduct both day and night reconnaissance using an infrared camera.
The Supercam S350 is a light-class UAV with secure communications channels, high resistance to electronic warfare systems and a video communication range of over 70 km. Supercam S350 has proven itself in civil and defense missions, it may perform such tasks as border protection, law enforcement, anti-terrorist operations. According to the Unmanned Systems Group’s (the manufacturer of the Supercamdrones) spokeswoman Ekaterina Zgirovskaya the project is constantly evolving and gaining new capabilities — its characteristics and application tactics are being improved. This year the modernized version of the Supercam S350 UAV received an FPV drone detection and suppression system. The company said that this solution integrated into the UAV can also be used in the civilian sector to look for sources of radio emissions and participate in rescue operations. “The drone-suppressing technology of the Supercam S350 system is undergoing operational evaluation while being used at the Special military operation area and we receive positive feedback from UAV teams. They say that the system is efficient and considerably boosts the chances of the UAV survival” — Zgirovskaya told TASS news agency.
The representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasize that one of the key features of the Supercam S350 is the high-definition camera as well as its silent electric engine and resistance to electronic warfare. As the UAVs crews report — you can examine shelters and machine gun positions in detail, track the movement of enemy personnel and equipment, and provide precise coordinates of targets from a height of one kilometer. It is proved by the Army reports that Supercam S350 UAV have already helped detect and destroy such enemy weapons in the Special military operation area as Bradley and M-113 armored personnel carriers, M119 and M777 towed howitzers, HMMWV (Humvee) armored vehicles, Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, HIMARS and Vampire multiple launch rocket systems, CAESAR and Paladin self-propelled artillery units, RT-91 Twardy tanks, Cobra armored vehicles, Buk M1 air defense systems, BMP-2, and other equipment, as well as ammunition depots, temporary deployment points, strongholds, command posts, aerial reconnaissance and UAV control points.
Supercam X4 drones are new and therefore not yet as popular as the S350 flying wing but the Unmanned Systems Group and Rosoboronexport have recently started to present this product to the foreign market. For example, in spring 2025 the drone was on display at MILEX-2025 military expo in Minsk, Belarus and later on at the International high-level meeting of security officials in Moscowwhere the representatives from CIS, African, Latin American, Asian, Mideast countries participated. The Dubai Airshow-2025 presentation of Supercam X4 is about to be the first time it is shown at the Persian Gulf/Middle East. Russian Supercam X4 drones are designed to conduct mostly monitoring missions and aerial photography but are also capable of delivering loads weighing up to 1 kg. The drone is easy to operate and has secure data transfer system as well as the Supercam S350. The flight endurance of Supercam X4 is up to 50 minutes and it is able to operate in challenging environment.
