The ADNEC Group has announced that the Tawazun Council will participate as an enabling partner for the defense sector in the fourth edition of the “Made in the Emirates” initiative. The event has solidified its position as a premier platform for industrial investment in the UAE and plays a vital role in advancing local manufacturing and technological innovation.
Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Tawazun Council, emphasized that the Council’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the UAE’s strategic vision of developing a sustainable and advanced national industrial base. He described the forum as a leading platform that brings together decision-makers, industry leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs—fostering constructive dialogue and unlocking real opportunities to develop the local manufacturing ecosystem and strengthen cross-sectoral partnerships.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also underscored the importance of aligning national efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in vital sectors, particularly the defense and security industries, which he described as a cornerstone of economic sovereignty and national security.
He added that “Made in the Emirates” represents a strategic opportunity to advance the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which seeks to build a knowledge- and technology-based economy. The initiative reaffirms the country’s commitment to a more resilient and sustainable industrial future—one that reinforces the UAE’s global leadership in advanced manufacturing and positions it as a regional and international hub for innovation-driven, high-quality production.
Hamid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, also highlighted the significance of this collaboration, calling “Made in the Emirates” a key platform for shaping the future of manufacturing, technology, and industrial investment in the UAE. He stressed the pivotal role of the Tawazun Council as an enabling partner for the defense sector, noting that its deep expertise in defense and security industries complements national efforts toward industrial self-reliance and economic diversification while driving technological innovation across strategic sectors.
The “Made in the Emirates” exhibition will take place at ADNEC Abu Dhabi from May 19 to 22, 2025.
