South Korean defense manufacturer LIG Nex1 has opened a new, larger office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as it seeks to strengthen its business in the Middle East.
The company announced that its new office was officially opened on Thursday at a ceremony attended by LIG Nex1 CEO Shin Ick-hyun, along with Saudi government officials and representatives from local defense firms.
The expanded facility is set to become a regional communications hub, helping the company respond to growing demand for advanced weapons systems in the Middle East, a market seeing increased interest amid persistent geopolitical risks. LIG Nex1’s products, including the long-range surface-to-air missile (L-SAM), are a key part of this strategy.
To support its regional growth, LIG Nex1 has also established dedicated operational and research and development (R&D) divisions. These teams are focused on boosting arms exports to the region and creating a reliable post-sales network with local partners.
“We expect this expanded office will allow for smoother collaboration with customers in Saudi Arabia and beyond,” a company official said. “Through continuous business expansion and localization strategies, we will further solidify our position in the Middle East market.”
