IDEX to Lead UAE Pavilion in LAAD 2015

The International Defence Exhibition and Conferences (IDEX) today announced its participation in the LAAD Defence and Security International Exhibition held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,taking place from April 14 – 17 2015.

IDEX will once again lead the UAE’s participation in the LAAD exhibition as part of its outreach program among the global defence and industrial manufacturing communities,bringing together UAE firms to promote UAE technologies and products.

A four-day biennial event, LAAD Defence & Security International Exhibition is the largest defence forum in Latin America, attracting the most significant local and international companies specialized in supplying equipment, technology and services to the Armed Forces, Police and Special Forces. Reining as the biggest defence exhibition in the MENA region, IDEX will showcase the UAE’s state-of-the-art and modern military technologies to a global audience of multi-national defence and security organizations.

Saleh Al Marzooqi, IDEX Chief Executive Officer, said: “Our participation in LAAD 2015 is a testament to the deep relationships we aim to foster with our counterparts in the industry. IDEX 2015 was the largest and most diverse edition of the show to date following the launch of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX). The event received an overwhelmingly positive response from visitors, partners and exhibitors, with the latter increasing to 1,200 international and local companies. A total of 100,000 visitors participated in the event and the conferences, cementing its position as a global platform for the latest technologies and innovations in the Defence sector. IDEX will next take place in 2017.
