Turkish defense technology firm HAVELSAN has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Tests for its FLEETSTAR Platform Data Distribution System, developed for the 10th and 11th ships of Turkey’s MİLGEM naval programme.
Designed to serve as the digital backbone of modern naval platforms, FLEETSTAR manages data exchange between sensors, weapon systems and mission systems, enabling the effective operation of the vessel as an integrated whole. For submarine platforms, HAVELSAN offers a dedicated variant, the SUBSTAR Submarine Data Distribution System, engineered specifically to meet underwater operational requirements.

HAVELSAN delivered its first Platform Data Distribution System 16 years ago, for TCG Heybeliada, the lead ship of the MİLGEM programme. Since then, the company has integrated its data distribution systems across numerous naval platforms of different classes, and the latest milestone extends that track record to the programme’s 10th and 11th ships.
FLEETSTAR is built to sustain continuous operation under demanding naval conditions, including heavy data traffic, high operational tempo and harsh environmental effects. By providing a common data infrastructure across the platform, the system ensures critical information reaches the relevant onboard systems when it is needed.
HAVELSAN develops a significant portion of the electronic boards used across the FLEETSTAR product family in-house, while its software and mechanical design work is likewise carried out through its own engineering capabilities.
Both FLEETSTAR and SUBSTAR have operated across multiple surface and submarine platforms for years, sustaining continuous data flow and supporting operational readiness for the Turkish Naval Forces and other user institutions. That track record has established the two systems as core components of HAVELSAN’s naval systems portfolio.
With the Factory Acceptance Tests now complete for the systems bound for MİLGEM’s 10th and 11th ships, HAVELSAN continues its production and delivery work in naval data distribution systems.
