From the UAE to the World: ECCI Brings Homegrown Interconnect Expertise to Eurosatory 2026

In an industry where a single failed connector can compromise an entire mission, the quality of cable harness assemblies and interconnect solutions is not a detail — it is a decisive factor. For Emirates Cable Corporation Interconnect (ECCI), that reality has shaped every aspect of how the company was built and how it operates.

Founded and led by Emiratis, ECCI has grown into a specialist UAE manufacturer of high-reliability aerospace and defense interconnect solutions, with a workforce of more than 100 skilled production personnel trained to internationally recognized standards. The company’s focus on people, manufacturing excellence, and long-term capability development reflects a broader ambition: not simply to manufacture locally, but to build sustainable industrial expertise that creates lasting value for the UAE and its defense ecosystem.

At Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, ECCI is exhibiting as part of the UAE National Pavilion — a platform supported by ADNEC Group, the UAE Ministry of Defence, and Tawazun Council — bringing its capabilities to one of the world’s most significant land and airland defense exhibitions.

Defense Arabia sat down with ECCI’s Managing Director Nitin Kalia , to discuss the company’s founding philosophy, its approach to workforce development and technology investment, and its vision for the road ahead.

1. Can you tell us who is ECCI is and what you specialize in?

Emirates Cable Corporation Interconnect (ECCI) is a UAE-based manufacturer specializing in aerospace and defense cable harness assemblies and interconnect solutions.

Founded and led by Emiratis, ECCI is focused on developing sustainable industrial capability through continued investment in people, manufacturing excellence, technology, and long-term capability development.

2. You invest in people, manufacturing, capability, and technology. Which of these matters most?

People remain at the center of everything we do.

In the interconnect industry, operations such as wire preparation, stripping, crimping, soldering, assembly, inspection, and testing require exceptional precision, consistency, and expertise. The quality and reliability of the final product are directly influenced by the skill of the people performing these operations.

Today, ECCI is supported by more than 100 skilled production personnel. Our teams are trained to internationally recognized workmanship standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements, and supported through in-house trainers and continuous competency development programs.

Alongside our workforce investments, we continue to invest in advanced manufacturing technologies, digitalization initiatives, and AI-enabled manufacturing processes to enhance quality, traceability, efficiency, and operational performance.

While technology and equipment are important, it is ultimately skilled people that deliver quality, reliability, and customer confidence.

We are proud to be participating in Eurosatory 2026 as part of the UAE National Pavilion and look forward to engaging with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders from around the world.

3. How do you approach technology transfer and local content?

We believe successful technology transfer is about developing sustainable capability.

The objective is not simply local manufacturing, but developing skills, engineering expertise, processes, infrastructure, and industrial know-how that create long-term value.

The UAE has established a strong environment for industrial development, manufacturing, and innovation, and companies such as ECCI are contributing to that vision through continued investment in people, technology, and globally aligned manufacturing practices.

Our approach is to ensure that knowledge, expertise, and capability continue to develop over time, creating long-term value for industry and future generations.

4. You describe your focus as quality, reliability, responsiveness, and execution. What does that mean in practice?

Quality means maintaining the discipline, controls, traceability, and attention to detail required by aerospace and defense applications.

Reliability means delivering consistent products and dependable support.

Responsiveness means understanding customer requirements and reacting quickly when support is needed.

Execution means converting commitments into results through strong leadership, disciplined operations, and robust systems.

These principles guide every aspect of our operation and are fundamental to building long-term customer confidence.

5. You are exhibiting through the UAE national pavilion. How has the support of ADNEC Group, the Ministry of Defence, and Tawazun Council helped ECCI reach the international market?

We appreciate the efforts of ADNEC Group, the UAE Ministry of Defence, and TawazunCouncil in creating opportunities for UAE-based companies to engage with the international aerospace and defense community.

Platforms such as Eurosatory enable companies like ECCI to build relationships, explore new opportunities, and demonstrate the capabilities being developed within the UAE.

For ECCI, it is an opportunity to showcase manufacturing operations supported by globally aligned systems, procedures, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices while engaging directly with customers and partners from around the world.

6. What is the next step for ECCI, and where do you see the company in the coming years?

Our focus remains on maintaining manufacturing readiness and ensuring we are prepared to support critical customer programs whenever required.

This requires continued investment in skilled personnel, manufacturing capability, strategic inventory, internationally aligned systems and procedures, and long-term partnerships across the global supply chain. We believe readiness cannot be created overnight; it requires sustained investment, planning, and commitment.

At the same time, we continue to enhance our capabilities through digitalization, automation, AI-enabled manufacturing initiatives, and internationally recognized standards and certifications to ensure we remain aligned with the evolving requirements of the aerospace and defense industry.

Our ambition is to continue growing as a trusted aerospace and defense interconnect manufacturing partner while contributing to the UAE’s vision of a globally competitive industrial and technology ecosystem.

We are proud of what has been achieved so far and remain committed to supporting customers through quality, reliability, responsiveness, and execution.

We appreciate the opportunity to participate at Eurosatory 2026 and showcase the capabilities being developed within the UAE.

We look forward to strengthening existing relationships, building new partnerships, and continuing to support customers through high-quality aerospace and defense interconnect solutions manufactured in the UAE.
