ASELSAN is showcasing its expanding portfolio of satellite and space technologies at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2026 in Antalya, where the company is also serving as the event’s anchor sponsor. Under its “From Chip to Constellation” vision, ASELSAN is highlighting its capabilities across the space value chain, building on its experience in defense electronics to develop technologies spanning from chip and space-qualified electronics to satellite systems, platforms and payloads, ground infrastructure and user terminals.
At IAC 2026, ASELSAN is highlighting three key satellite programs that demonstrate its capabilities across different orbits and missions. One of the highlights ASTRALINK, the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Communications Satellite developed under the Low Earth Orbit Satellites and Military 5G/6G Communications System Project, is designed to provide secure, uninterrupted, reliable, low-latency and high-capacity communications between network centers and users beyond the line of sight of terrestrial networks. The project also aims to establish a scalable mass production capability, with a target capacity of producing up to four satellites per month, while strengthening Türkiye’s indigenous space-based communications capabilities.
Also on display at IAC 2026, TÜRKSAT-6A showcases Türkiye’s growing indigenous capabilities in GEO communications, including ASELSAN-developed communication payloads and satellite technologies. Building on the experience and capabilities developed through TÜRKSAT-6A, ASELSAN is continuing its technology and engineering efforts toward Türkiye’s next-generation GEO communications satellite, TÜRKSAT-7A. Another key focus at the Congress is GÖKTÜRK-3, Türkiye’s SAR satellite program, which will expand the country’s space-based imaging capabilities with day-and-night under all-weather conditions. As part of the multi-stakeholder program, ASELSAN is developing the SAR imaging radar, secure communication equipment for transmitting high volumes of data to the ground, and the satellite’s main security unit.
ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, has been developing satellite and space technologies since the early 2000s, initially focusing on satellite ground-segment and user SATCOM solutions. Over the years, the company has expanded its capabilities across the space domain to include satellite systems platforms & payloads, satellite ground control centers and supporting technologies, building an integrated portfolio that enables it to develop end-to-end solutions tailored to mission requirements.
“Our experience as a defense electronics company has given us a strong foundation to develop technologies for the space domain. Today, ASELSAN has in-house capabilities spanning the space value chain, from chip technologies and space-qualified electronics to satellite systems, platforms & payloads, and ground infrastructure. IAC 2026 provides an important platform to showcase these capabilities and our growing ambition in space. Our ‘From Chip to Constellation’ vision brings these capabilities together to develop complete, secure and competitive space architectures, while creating new opportunities in international markets.” said Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN.
