Alongside the high-quality target scopes of the Tangent Theta brand, Armament Technology will now also exclusively sell ELCAN target scopes through Ammotec in the military and government sector. This will further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.
Canadian scope and target system manufacturer Armament Technology has been a master distributor for ELCAN target scopes since 1994. Now, the company is once again relying on Ammotec’s European dealer network. “We are delighted to be working with Ammotec for the ELCAN brand as well. The entire Ammotec team is highly professional with years of expertise and an established and strong dealer network”, said Trevor Publicover, Vice President Sales at Armament Technology. At the start of this year, Ammotec and Armament Technology already concluded an exclusive distribution partnership, which initially provided for the distribution of the company’s own brand, Tangent Theta.
ELCAN’s target scopes are designed for military applications and are solutions for use by armed forces and police units around the world. The ELCAN Specter DR, for example, combines the advantages of a red dot sight with those of a compact rifle scope. It in fact became known as the first rifle scope that allows magnification to be changed with the throw of a lever while maintaining the breakpoint, focus and field of view (dual-view setup).
“ELCAN’s optical systems are designed for soldiers and tested for these missions. Each of the systems works at the decisive moment and the shooter can concentrate fully on their target. This is the standard we set for all our products and we are pleased to be able to actively support our customers with the ELCAN brand in terms of precision, accuracy, hit rate and hit probability”, commented René Hauser, Senior Director Business Development & Portfolio at RUAG Ammotec DLE. All Armament Technology products are sold at Ammotec exclusively by the Defence & Law Enforcement business unit and are intended for military and government use.
Armament Technology
The main company, Armament Technology, was founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in the late 1980s and has been a specialised partner in the field of scopes and target systems since the mid-1990s. The company has been responsible for the sale and support of ELCAN target scopes since 1994. Starting from this basis, the company actively concentrated on the basics and challenges of this product group and quickly recognised the potential for improvement in the design and functionality of target scopes. Some well-known examples of this include the improved solutions for tracking weapons systems and the development of the “zero” position.
