The College of Engineering at PNU in collaboration with Rolls-Royce, the leading international aero-engine and technology company, today celebrated the successful graduation of the first 67 female engineering graduates from PNU, at a ceremony held at the university’s campus in Riyadh.
As a Platinum sponsor of the graduation ceremony, Rolls-Royce is proud to work with the College of Engineering and build on the ambitions of both organisations to pursue the goals of empowering women to enter the workplace in sustainable careers that accelerate the Kingdom’s economic diversification strategy supporting the delivery of Vision 2030.
PNU is seen as a beacon of knowledge and leadership for women’s education in the Kingdom, being established in 2007 and officially named after the sister of the founder of the Kingdom, His Majesty King Abdul Aziz bin Abdulrahman al Saud. PNU currently hosts 770 female students in their engineering college.

The students’ final year projects included how the use of drone technology can be applied to search and rescue operations in remote areas, how radio signals and lasers can accelerate rapid response for medical scenarios, and maximising cabin crew utilisation.
