Turkish Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower PW1100G-JM engines to power its order of 72 firm and 20 option A321neo aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2017. The PurePower engine family has completed 19,000 hours and 34,000 cycles of full engine testing, including 5,000 hours of flight time. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp.company.
