Latest Fire Detection Solutions on Show at Interschutz 2015

Tyco Fire Protection Products is presenting its range of innovative fire detection technology at Interschutz 2015. Key highlights of the Fire Detection Zone in Tyco City include the Generation 6 range of detectors and ZETTLER PROFILE, a powerful new fire detection and alarm system, alongside a selection of ancillary components.

Based on Tyco’s long established and proven MZX technology platform, Generation 6 detectors provide superior detection performance, greater fault tolerance and reduced installation time. They use sophisticated digital signalling to communicate with the MZX fire control panel, providing a robust and secure fire detection network that is engineered to suit the requirements of the environment and application.

The detectors’ built in infra-red link is a unique feature which enables two way communication with Tyco’s 850EMT Engineering Management Tool. An industry first, this functionality allows fire detection users to adjust the settings and parameters of the detector using this simple hand held device without having to manually access each detection module. This offers time savings and safer installation and programming of the detectors in applications with a large quantity of detectors or access issues.

Tyco’s ZETTLER PROFILE range of control panels also harnesses the benefits of MZX Technology to provide state-of-the-art fire detection technology for a range of applications in the commercial, retail and public building sectors. The system is designed for operation in the most hostile of surroundings and provides numerous functions for increased flexibility throughout its lifetime. Ergonomically engineered for ease of use, it features a sleek and discreet 8.4” TFT colour touch screen user interface, making the system suitable for architecturally sensitive settings. Plus, touch sensitive LEDs provide detailed status summary information in just one click to ensure a fast response to all system events.

“We’re excited to be presenting the latest innovations in our fire detection technology portfolio at Interschutz,” comments Daxa Patel, director of marketing for global fire detection, Tyco Fire Protection Products. “Expanding our detection offering with advanced solutions demonstrates our commitment to providing the latest products and leading innovation to the industry. With a focus on improved usability, robust capabilities and reduced costs, the ZETTLER PROFILE and Generation 6 range offer important benefits for customers in a range of environments.”
