HAVELSAN’s AI-powered video analytics solution, EYEMINER, supports security teams with real-time monitoring, alert generation and searches for individuals in recorded camera footage. Compatible with camera systems of different makes and models, the solution supports the analysis of people, vehicles and objects and can be configured for applications such as weapon detection and licence plate recognition.
Developed by HAVELSAN, EYEMINER analyses footage from existing cameras to help security teams verify incidents and search recorded footage for specific individuals. Its photo-based search capabilities help teams identify the routes individuals have taken and determine when they passed through monitored areas. This information can support searches for missing people.

These capabilities were used in security operations at the southeastern edition of TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. HAVELSAN integrated the EYEMINER Video Management System (VMS), EYEMINER Video Analytics System (VAS) and EYEMINER Gözcü solutions with the existing camera and recording systems. Live camera feeds from the site were transmitted to the TEKNOFEST Crisis Centre, providing security teams with monitoring, alert generation and analytics support.
Tracing Routes from a Photograph
Following reports of missing children during the event, photographs of the children were uploaded to the system. Teams at the Crisis Centre evaluated scenarios in which these photographs could be used to search recorded footage, identify the routes the children had taken and determine when they had passed through monitored areas.
EYEMINER Gözcü provided real-time data to the Crisis Centre during this process and supported other on-site security needs.
From Live Footage to Security Alerts
Footage from connected cameras was analysed to detect people, vehicles and faces, as well as individuals wearing hats or carrying bags. Weapon detection, analysis of people and licence plate recognition were also enabled to meet on-site security needs.
Network video recorders (NVRs) deployed on site supported video recording.
Advanced Analytics for Existing Cameras
The on-site deployment demonstrated EYEMINER’s ability to integrate with camera systems of different makes and models, be deployed quickly and adapt to different analytics requirements. Centralised monitoring and advanced video analytics supported security operations at the event, while use cases for missing-person searches were also evaluated.
The results provided a reference for future large-scale events, showing how existing camera infrastructure can be enhanced with advanced video analytics without investment in additional cameras.
First School Security Pilot Underway
HAVELSAN has signed a cooperation protocol with the Şanlıurfa Governor’s Office in Türkiye to establish an AI-powered early warning system using EYEMINER for school security.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, HAVELSAN CEO Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar said the first pilot had begun at a school in central Şanlıurfa. The project will evaluate early risk detection, automatic detection of suspicious behaviour and alerts to authorised personnel and security units.
