Farnborough International Airshow 2016 on Track For Success

Farnborough International Ltd (FIL), organisers of the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) has reported that after a successful visit to the Paris Airshow, exhibition space in halls is now 72% sold and just 6 chalets remain available. With over six months to go before the biennial aviation showcase takes place, these positive sales reflect the strength of the international aerospace industry and the value that FIA brings for aerospace business.

Latest exhibitors to sign-up for the global aviation showcase which takes place from 11th – 17th July 2016 include COMAC, BAE Systems, Gardner Aerospace, Rafael and Dassault Aviation. Furthermore, the event had seen more international participation from Enterprise Florida, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Ireland and Austria. To date, the show currently has 15 international pavilions with Brazil, Ireland and Austria all being new to the show.

The military delegations programme is also progressing well with the organiser’s in discussions with all key emerging markets including the Middle East, North and South America, India, Australia and Europe. In addition, it is also working with all FIA exhibitors regarding engagement with the RAF and the UK MoD. The Civil and Commercial programme also has five delegations confirmed from UK, Italy, Serbia and the Middle East.

Based on its success in 2014, the Meet-the-Buyer event has been extended to 3 days instead of 2, with more conferences and briefings and greater participation from key sectors including Rotary, MRO, Space, Manufacturing Technologies and UAS sectors.
