Bombardier Honors UTC Aerospace Systems with 2015 In-Service STAR Award

UTC Aerospace Systems, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp, was recently recognized by Bombardier for the fifth consecutive year with the prestigious In-Service Supplier Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award for its in-service support of Bombardier’s Q400* aircraft program.

UTC Aerospace Systems received the 2015 In-Service STAR Award from the Canadian aircraft manufacturer based on the performance of environmental systems it has supplied for Bombardier’s Q400 program over the past year. UTC Aerospace Systems has been recognized by Bombardier Aerospace for its outstanding service and support every year since 2010.

"UTC Aerospace Systems is committed to delivering on its program commitments by providing customers with reliable systems and components that are supported with high quality, responsive service. It is what drives us each day, so we are both proud and appreciative to have been recognized by Bombardier once again for our customer service," said Tom Pelland, President of UTC Aerospace Systems’ Engine & Environmental Control Systems segment. "UTC Aerospace Systems and Bombardier have a long-established relationship, and we look forward to many more years of collaboration as we continue to support their aircraft programs".

To be eligible for Bombardier’s STAR awards, a supplier must have scored at least 90 percent in areas deemed most important by Bombardier Aerospace’s customers, such as product performance, aircraft support and customer focus.

Bombardier presented UTC Aerospace Systems with the award at its Bombardier Aerospace 2015 European Regional Review and Trade Show in Munich, Germany.
