The U.S. Army has selected Lockheed Martin on the 10th of July as a prime contractor eligible to bid on task orders soon to be released for a range of support services for armored vehicles, machines and systems operated by the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM).
Lockheed Martin has the opportunity to compete against 20 other finalists for potentially $1.1 billion worth of work over a five-year period of performance. The work is covered in the Strategic Service Solutions (S3) Equipment Related Services pillar of a TACOM competitive Multiple Award (MAC) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The services align with many of the core capabilities that Lockheed Martin currently provides customers.
Task orders are expected to be released following the government-sponsored kickoff meeting that took place on June 23. The TS3 MAC IDIQ scope of work will primarily consist of maintenance, repair and overhaul, equipment installation and modification, and technical representative services to armored vehicles, machines and systems.
“Our team is eager to continue its service to the U.S. Army and will employ both our experience and expertise to provide tailored, actionable solutions to support the customer’s mission,” said TW Scott, vice president of technical services at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control.
