On October 21, Naval Group signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Copenhagen Global, Saab Danmark and SH Defence. The signatures with these Danish companies took place in Copenhagen at an industry event hosted by Naval Group. The agreements develop and reinforce the long-lasting cooperation between Naval Group and Denmark’s maritime industry.
Naval Group teams up with the following trusted partners:
- Copenhagen Global for drones, autonomous systems and military payloads
- Saab Danmark for communication equipment
- SH Defence for R&D activities regarding the design and the manufacturing of containerized mission modules, Launch and Recovery System (LARS) for drones and diving equipment
“We’ve been working with these partners for quite some time now, and globally with the Danish industry, and we are honored to involve them even more in our proposal for Denmark’s future frigates. We have an extensive experience of working with local industry all over the world and we will build on that experience in Denmark, should the FDI frigate be selected. With our Danish partners, Naval Group is able to build and maintain the FDI frigate in Denmark.” Said Guillaume Weisrock Senior Vice President of Sales for Europe and North America at Naval Group
A long experience of working with Danish industry
In Danmark, over the past 15 years, Naval Group has been working with more than 20 companies and is in relation with almost 50 companies. Alongside the signed MOU’s, Naval Group is inviting more Danish maritime companies to engage and contribute to the FDI-frigate offer for Denmark, but also be involved in Naval Group’s global supply chain for in-service support and maintenance or for other activities on programs.
Naval Group has a proven track record of involving local industry in the construction of ships and submarines. For example, in Greece, Naval Group has involved more than 75 Greek partners in its supply chain for the FDI production and other programs.
Thirteen FDI frigates have already been ordered by three European NATO countries (France, Greece and Sweden). Two have already been delivered, one more will be delivered in a few days, and five are at various stages of production.
