Serbia Gets a New Drone Motor Factory

A new Serbian technology company, RoboMotors, has been launched with a focus on robotics, embedded electronics, software and in-house manufacturing.

The company was officially registered in May 2026 and is developing production capabilities for electric motors and other components used in unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic systems.

The company plans to produce up to 40,000 electric motors per month. The initial production programme is expected to include BLDC, stepper and servo motors, with the first production and testing activities announced for 2026.

One of RoboMotors’ founders is Miloš Petrašinović, a co-owner and chief engineer at PR-DC, a Serbian defence technology company known for developing and producing military unmanned aerial systems, including armed UAV platforms.

RoboMotors is also developing capabilities in electronics, software, CNC machining, composite materials and other technologies intended to support the development and production of complete robotic and unmanned systems.
