La Spezia, 24 September 2026 – Following the Prime contract signing between OCCAR and Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, ELT Group announces its contribution to the Italian Navy’s new DDG Destroyers programme, developed through the collaboration of Fincantieri, Leonardo and MBDA.
ELT Group will equip the future vessels with a next-generation electronic warfare suite designed to enhance the protection of both the platform and the entire naval force in increasingly complex, multi-domain operational scenarios.
The solution represents a significant capability advancement compared to previous architectures, introducing innovative technological features and a higher level of integration among sensors, countermeasures, and command-and-control systems. Its objective is to strengthen operational awareness and decision-making speed, enabling more effective management of the electromagnetic spectrum and a more timely response to emerging threats.
Through this programme, ELT Group further consolidates its role in the development of advanced electronic warfare capabilities for the naval domain, contributing to one of the most sophisticated and internationally significant military platforms of the future.
