ASELSAN will be part of the team, led by Leidos (USA), who was awarded a contract by the NATO Communications and Information (NCI) Agency to provide systems engineering and integration support for the Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program. The single-award, firm-fixed-price contract has a four-year base period of performance, two one-year options plus one seven-month option and a total contract value of $77 million if all options are exercised. The BMD System Engineering, Integration and Test contract is a follow-on to the Active Layer Theater BMD (ALTBMD) contract.
ASELSAN will be working together with eight other teammates from Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. Under the contract, Team Leidos will deliver NATO BMD capability, including BMD enhancements to the NATO C3 systems, refinement and maintenance of the NATO BMD architecture.
The Project, by its nature, will be executed at NCIA premises in the Hague/the Netherlands and is the first of its kind to use ASELSAN’s experience in NATO BMD activities.
Being a developer of system architecture for future BMD requirements, ASELSAN ensures NATO and team-members that ASELSAN is committed to transfer know-how gained in the field of BMD in full service of NATO, its agencies and member states.
