Oliver Stratford Joins AJW Aviation as Sales Manager, Southern Africa

AJW Aviation has appointed experienced aviation industry specialist Oliver Stratford as Sales Manager – Southern Africa. His role is to work closely with all of AJW’s customers across the region for contracted power-by-the-hour support, ad-hoc spares sales, component repairs and engine services.

Shane Tingey, Sales Director – AJW Aviation, explains the importance of this new role to the organisation: “Oliver brings a set of skills that comprises extensive knowledge of airlines in Southern Africa as well as their respective fleets. He has a clear understanding of the market dynamics in the region and will work closely with current and prospective AJW customers to transform their operational efficiency. Importantly, he will reinforce our business relationships with flag carriers, industry leaders and local government officials to bring a better understanding of AJW’s world-class, flexible aircraft support options.”

“African airlines are regaining customer trust, and building loyalty” says Stratford. “This has only become possible through on-time dispatch reliability and sustainable schedules approved and certified by ICAO and IATA. Their entire supply chain must be in place with reputable partners that can deliver value and service. AJW Aviation can support operators’ long term ambitions to expand networks offering customers quicker and direct routing to their destinations of choice across the African continent.

“Combining AJW’s significant spares inventory with the state-of-the-art component repair facility, AJW Technique in Montreal, the Group is focused on reducing direct maintenance costs for operators of all sizes. AJW’s experience of working in Africa spans several decades and we can offer a component support and repair powerhouse that is independent and globally recognised. AJW is not affiliated to any one African airline and the inherent flexibility within the organisation’s business model is something that the smaller to medium sized airlines and start-ups throughout the region can benefit from immediately.”
