Aselsan: Gözde’s historical bull’s eye hit on a moving target

ASELSAN’s GÖZDE Guidance Kit has made a history by precisely striking a high-speed moving target during a test conducted with F-16 fighter jet.

ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, conducted a live-fire test showcasing GÖZDE’s exceptional precision strike capability on 27 February 2025. GÖZDE Guidance Kit, developed jointly by ASELSAN and TÜBİTAK Defense Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE), successfully tracked and neutralized its target in motion through its integrated INS/GNSS/Laser Seeker guidance system after being designated by an electro-optical system on the F-16 aircraft.

As one of ASELSAN’s prominent game-changing technologies, GÖZDEenhances the power of aerial platforms by enabling precise engagement of both stationary and moving targets. Developed without any propulsion system, it makes the highly effective MK-82 bomb family weighing 500 LB, capable of hitting moving and precision targets with a cost-effective approach thanks to its advanced guidance and navigation capabilities.

With its ability to engage both stationary and moving targets, GÖZDEis highly effective across a broad range of operational scenarios. Integrated into both manned and unmanned platforms such as F-16 and Bayraktar AKINCI, GÖZDEprovides a critical advantage in Türkiye’s airspace, reinforcing the country’s advanced strike capabilities.
