The IDEX Abu Dhabi 2025 exhibition, one of the world’s premier defence and security events, has once again become a strategic platform for showcasing the latest advancements in defence, security, and dual-use technologies. Among the national pavilions, Poland’s presence has been particularly noteworthy, with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) leading a strong delegation of innovative companies. Highlighting Poland’s growing importance in the global security sector, His Excellency Mr. Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Economic Development, visited the Polish stand (C5-006), engaging in discussions with Polish enterprises about potential collaboration and investment opportunities.
Piotr Placha, Key Expert for the Security and Dual Use Goods Sector at PAIH, emphasized the increasing role of civilian technology in military applications, stating, “The growing importance of modern technologies in the defence, security, and dual-use goods sectors is undeniable. An example of this is drone technology, as well as the application of Artificial Intelligence systems in the management of weaponry systems. Companies participating in the event, along with representatives of authorities, armed forces, police, and other services, are increasingly aware of the crucial role played by entities from the civilian sector, which offer solutions that can be applied in the military domain. This is especially important for building the resilience of the state to various types of threats and creating competitive advantages based on alternative solutions.”
