In December 2024, the Brazilian Navy’s Marine Corps, in partnership with SIATT, successfully launched the MANSUP missile from a land-based platform for the first time.
Following this unprecedented event, SIATT announces that the MANSUP (Surface-Launched Anti-Ship Missile) is officially ready for integration and deployment in littoral defense operations. This milestone represents a significant step forward for national security, enhancing Brazil’s capability to defend its coastal regions.
The MANSUP is a high-precision weapon system developed to ensure the protection of Brazil’s territorial waters. Designed to neutralize warships that pose a threat to maritime sovereignty, the MANSUP can currently be launched from both land-based and naval platforms.
The key advantage of integrating the MANSUP missile into the launcher of the artillery rocket system for area saturation is that system users will be able to expand their ability to strike maritime targets with extremely high precision.
Paulo Salvador, Director at SIATT, stated: “This integration provides a more comprehensive and robust solution for littoral protection and threat deterrence. It is a solution that can also be offered internationally with the MANSUP as its centerpiece.”
Robson Duarte, Managing Partner at SIATT, emphasized: “With the MANSUP missile, Brazil strengthens its ability to protect its coastal areas, especially in regions of significant economic and strategic importance. This defense system can also be integrated with other platforms, such as radar systems and naval units. In Brazil’s case, it can receive information from SisGAAz (Blue Amazon Management System) for missile launches.”
The MANSUP missile is now ready for coastal and littoral defense operations, marking a new level in national security. It is expected to be swiftly integrated into Brazil’s armed forces, contributing to the safety of navigation and the security of maritime borders.
