Egyptian Armed Forces and Thales Celebrate Completion of Advanced Defense and Industry Training Programs

The Egyptian Armed Forces organized a ceremony to award certificates for completing specialized training programs on the technical work system in the fields of defense and industry, in collaboration with Thales Group and the French University in Egypt. This initiative aligns with the Armed Forces’ commitment to continuous development in line with the latest educational and training systems in military fields.

The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Yasser El-Toudy, Commander of the Air Defense Forces, along with several military leaders, representatives from the French Embassy, the French University, and the French Defense Attaché in Cairo.

Speech by the Chief of the Training Authority
Major General Osama Naga, Chief of the Training Authority for the Armed Forces, delivered a speech conveying the greetings and appreciation of General Abdel-Meguid Saqr, General Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the attendees. He emphasized the commitment of the General Command to enhancing the training system through partnerships with leading global companies and institutions to keep pace with rapid advancements in military and technological sciences.

French Ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Éric Chevallier, highlighted the deep historical relations between Egypt and France. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to fostering joint cooperation to exchange expertise and maximize the utilization of available capabilities.

Grégory Lénié, Executive Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa at Thales Group, expressed his pride in the fruitful collaboration between the company and the Egyptian Armed Forces in the fields of defense and industry.

Dr. Mohamed Roshdy, President of the French University in Egypt, described the training programs as a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations in education and training. He noted the university’s dedication to delivering advanced curricula taught by elite experts and specialists.

The training programs, conducted over several days, included numerous lectures in various fields aimed at enhancing the trainees’ skills and capabilities. At the end of the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the participants who successfully completed the programs.
