Brasília, Brazil, December 3, 2024 – SIATT, a Brazilian company specializing in complex defense and communication systems, signed a Letter of Intent today with the Operations and Management Center of the Amazonian Protection System (CENSIPAM). The agreement establishes a cooperative partnership to explore communication solutions designed to ensure secure and effective communication for field operators in the Amazon region.
The Letter of Intent was signed by Rogério Salvador, representing SIATT, and Rafael Pinto Costa, Director-General of CENSIPAM, during a ceremony at SIATT’s booth at the 8th BID Brasil Exhibition in Brasília.
This week, SIATT introduced the Integrated Secure Communication System (SICS). Developed in partnership with Katim, a subsidiary of the EDGE Group, and the Brazilian state-owned company IMBEL, the SICS is an innovative technological solution that integrates advanced technologies for data collection, dissemination, and protection. It ensures secure, encrypted communication between field teams and command centers, even in complex and hard-to-reach environments.
“The signing of this Letter of Intent marks a significant step in the development of technological solutions aimed at protecting and securing Brazil’s strategic regions. Our goal with the SICS is to provide an efficient, robust, and flexible tool tailored to the specific needs of each public defense, security, and protection entity,” said Rogério Salvador, CEO of SIATT.
CENSIPAM’s Director-General emphasized the importance of a secure communication solution that cannot be intercepted, operates via satellite, and performs reliably under adverse conditions, such as those in the Amazon. “No ready-made solution currently exists, and by bringing together SIATT, the EDGE Group, and IMBEL, we aim to develop a technological solution to address this gap, significantly aiding Brazil in carrying out missions in that region as effectively as possible,” said Rafael Pinto Costa.
