Thailand Chooses Gripen E/F Over F-16

The Royal Thai Air Force has selected the Swedish-made Gripen E/F fighter jet over the American F-16 in a recent competition. The Thai government believes that the Gripen E/F is the best choice to protect the country’s national security.

Despite the Thai Air Force’s initial preference for the Gripen, the government considered other proposals with better financial terms. In the end, they decided to stick with the Gripen E/F.

Thailand already has both the older Gripen C and D models, and plans to purchase 12 new Gripen E/F fighters.

With this decision, Thailand becomes the third country to operate the Gripen E/F, joining Sweden and Brazil.

The Gripen E/F is a modern fighter jet known for its advanced technology and long-range capabilities. However, it has faced competition from other fighter jets in the past.
