Boeing has maintained a presence in the Middle East for nearly eight decades, supporting the region with advanced commercial airplanes, defense platforms and space and security systems. Building on this legacy of regional support, Boeing and Qatar have developed a strong relationship that continues to blossom.
Since 2006, Boeing’s investments in Qatar have helped grow the local aerospace sector, creating jobs and driving innovation and youth empowerment. Today, this spirit of partnership is driving Boeing’s development of next-generation product support of key defense platforms such as the F-15, C-17 and AH-64 Apache, with digital solutions that help the Qatar Emiri Air Force keep their fleet mission ready.
NEXT-GENERATION PRODUCT SUPPORT
Boeing works closely with the Qatar Emiri Air Force, providing training and sustainment for their C-17 fleet.
Boeing also provides spare parts, support and test equipment, maintenance support, training devices, and aircrew and maintenance training for Qatar’s fleet of AH-64 Apache helicopters.
In addition, Boeing is providing in-country spare parts, maintenance, training, program management and logistics support for F-15 Qatar Advanced fighters.
At DIMDEX 2024, the company is showcasing its sustainment capabilities, including digital aviation solutions, parts and distribution services, and more. A key focus is being placed on Boeing’s Next Generation Product Support, which is a beneficial option for operators that want to leverage Performance Based Logistics (PBL) to maximize mission readiness and reduce costs.
These PBL-based support tools often incorporate data analytics services, to assist regional Air Forces with making informed maintenance, supply chain and operations decisions.
“Boeing’s Next Generation Product Support delivers predictable readiness in a cost-effective manner, to support operations in Qatar and around the world,” said Turbo Sjogren, vice president and general manager of Government Services for Boeing Global Services. “The Next-Generation Product Support approach enhances reliability and maintainability, supply chain output and stability, MRO operations, flight line training, and expands predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities.”
A LEGACY OF PARTNERSHIP LEADS TO A BRIGHT FUTURE
Building future success on the foundation of its long history in the region requires an investment in local infrastructure and workforce development. To ensure mission readiness and smooth support of all defense platforms, Boeing continues to grow its partnership with Qatar Emiri Air Force to optimize the ability to sustain their fleet. More than 340 Boeing employees support the in-country fleet.
