U.S. Air Force crews recently ferried two MC-130J Commando II aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility here. Both aircraft are assigned to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). One will be operated from Kadena Air Base, Japan, and the other from RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The Commando II supports such missions as in-flight refueling, infiltration/exfiltration, and aerial delivery and resupply of special operations forces.
