Tuwaiq 4: A Testament to Saudi-US Military Cooperation

The joint and combined air exercise “Tuwaiq 4” concluded yesterday, bringing together Saudi Arabia, the United States, and allied nations to enhance regional security and deepen military cooperation.

His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, attended the closing ceremony of the exercise, alongside several commanders of the air forces of the participating countries.

Upon his arrival at Prince Sultan Air Base in the central region, His Royal Highness and his accompanying delegation were received by the base commander, Major General Pilot Mohsen bin Saeed Al-Zahrani.

Over the course of two weeks, the joint and combined air exercise featured tactical airlift missions, lectures, and seminars.

The participating air forces demonstrated exceptional readiness in planning, preparation, and execution, reinforcing the concept of joint air operations.

The C-130 tactical airlifter played a pivotal role in the exercise, showcasing its outstanding capabilities and reliability. This collaboration marked the first engagement between Lockheed Martin and Saudi Arabia in 1965. Today, Saudi Arabia proudly operates the largest C-130 fleet outside the United States.

The “Tuwaiq 4” exercise stands as a testament to the enduring strength of the U.S.-Saudi partnership and their shared commitment to regional security and stability.
