Thuraya Telecommunications Company, a leading Mobile Satellite Services operator, announced on Monday March 9, 2015 its partnership with SamTech Middle East FZ LLC, a Dubai-based provider of fleet management solutions and intelligent wireless tracking systems.
The agreement will enable SamTech to provide smart M2M solutions to transport and logistics enterprises across the Middle East and Africa, by using Thuraya’s congestion-free satellite network for cost-effective roaming and uninterrupted connectivity.

“Thuraya’s partnership with SamTech allows us to broaden our M2M service portfolio to better serve enterprise users’ need for asset tracking and remote monitoring services in sectors such as transport, logistics, oil and gas, utilities and government. The partnership will allow users to switch from roaming to satellite connectivity in the remotest areas to ensure their safety and security. Our ability to provide both roaming and mobile satellite solutions is an asset that enables us to deliver cost-effective price plans catering to 24/7 demands”, said Bilal El Hamoui, Chief Commercial Officer at Thuraya.
