The Royal Navy of Oman’s offshore patrol vessel (OPV) RNOV Sadh participated in the prestigious AMAN 2025 multinational maritime exercise, held from February 7 to February 11, 2025, in the Arabian Sea. Hosted by the Pakistan Navy, AMAN 2025 brought together naval forces from over 60 countries, aiming to promote regional stability, enhance maritime cooperation, and strengthen naval interoperability.

RNOV Sadh is a modern offshore patrol vessel (OPV) in the Royal Navy of Oman’s fleet, designed for maritime security, surveillance, and search-and-rescue operations. With its advanced technology and operational flexibility, the ship plays a crucial role in securing Oman’s waters and contributing to international maritime security efforts.
Key features of RNOV Sadh include :
Weapon Systems: Equipped with medium-caliber naval guns for surface combat, close-in weapon systems (CIWS) for defense against aerial threats, and advanced surveillance systems for enhanced situational awareness.
Maritime Security Role: Designed for patrolling Oman’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ), deterring piracy, combating smuggling, and supporting search-and-rescue missions.
Specifications: With a displacement of approximately 1,500 tons and a top speed of over 25 knots, RNOV Sadh is built for extended patrols and rapid response operations in regional waters.
