HAVELSAN’s presence at the EFES 2024 defense and security maneuvers was particularly noteworthy.
The company showcased its advanced capabilities in unmanned military systems and vehicles, attracting significant attention from distinguished visitors, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
President Erdoğan visited the HAVELSAN stand and received a detailed briefing from HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar on the company’s latest products, including:
- BAHA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV): This UAV was developed by HAVELSAN engineers and entered service with the Turkish Air Force last year.
- BARKAN Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV): BARKAN is an autonomous combat vehicle designed and developed by HAVELSAN to meet the needs of the Turkish Land Forces.
- SANCAR Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV): SANCAR is one of HAVELSAN’s latest projects in the field of unmanned naval vehicles.
Dr. Nacar emphasized HAVELSAN’s prestigious position in the defense industry, both domestically and internationally. He pointed to the company’s remarkable success in exporting the ADVENT Data Integrated Battle Management System, which are the backbone of the Turkish Navy, as well as simulation systems, which are among the most successful technologies in the world.
HAVELSAN’s participation in EFES 2024 embodied its unwavering commitment to developing its defense capabilities and strengthening its role in providing the Turkish Armed Forces with the latest technologies and systems, contributing to the security and safety of the nation.
EFES 2024 is one of the largest military maneuvers conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces, having commenced on May 9th and continuing until the 30th of the same month.
