The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is participating in the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 – one of the largest and most important international defense and aviation exhibitions taking place from July 22 to 26, 2024 in Hampshire, London, UK. GAMI’s participation aims to showcase its regulatory initiatives in the military industries sector in Saudi Arabia, with the aim of bolstering national military manufacturing capabilities. This will ultimately lead to the localization of the sector, making it a key contributor to the Saudi economy and reinforcing its defense and security independence.
The purpose of participating in the exhibition is to highlight the potential of the Saudi military and defense industries sector, as well as the accomplishments of the organization in developing industrial and service capabilities in the Kingdom, as part of its strategic role in localizing over 50% of government spending on military equipment and services by 2030.
