 Boeing announced several personnel changes in the Middle East and Turkey offices as part of the company’s broader strategy in the region to strengthen market coverage and customer partnerships. The Middle East and Turkey are two of the fastest-growing aerospace markets in the world and some of the most competitive.

·         Omar Arekat, Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales Director, has taken on the additional role of Managing Director for Qatar.In this expanded position, Arekat will help strengthen customer relationships and advance the Boeing profile in market.

·         Kuljit Ghata-Aura, Regional Legal Counsel for Boeingoperations in India, Middle Eastand Africa, has taken on the additional role of Director, Market Development, UnitedArab Emirates. Ghata-Aura will be responsible for planning and implementing key companyinitiatives in conjunction with the company strategy.

·         Ayşem Sargın Işıl was named Managing Director of Boeing Turkey. She will lead the Boeing strategy and coordinate all company work in the country. Işıl will be based in the Boeing Turkey headquarters in Ankara.

In these capacities, all three Boeing executives will report to Bernie Dunn, president of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT).

“These changes allow Boeing to apply more resources and expertise in the markets driving our business,” said Bernie Dunn. “Boeing is also able to further localize and expand its employee base by capitalizing on the incredible talent available across the MENAT region.”
