The sharp increase in the number of exhibitors – from 483 to 713 – along with growth in visitor numbers, official delegations and countries represented, once again confirms the international appeal of the exhibition, recognised as the world’s leading event for the naval defence sector. This momentum comes against a backdrop of profound transformation across the sector, driven by the combined impact of geopolitical, operational, technological and industrial developments. These challenges were at the heart of this 30th edition, held under the theme of high-intensity warfare.
From the smallest sensors to drones operating across all domains, and including major surface combatants, from the seabed to space, EURONAVAL 2026 provided an opportunity to assess the full extent of these transformations and discover all the new technologies presented by industry players. Equipment of all sizes and designed for a wide range of applications was on display throughout the exhibition halls, illustrating the diversity of needs and the wealth of technological solutions being developed.
As a meeting place for industry players and decision-makers from around the world, EURONAVAL is also an event where the entire ecosystem comes together to exchange views, take a step back, gather information and shape the navies of tomorrow. This dimension was reflected in particular in a programme of conferences and interviews bringing together numerous experts and leading figures throughout the week.
“EURONAVAL 2026 was a high-intensity exhibition, both in terms of the context in which it took place and the developments witnessed during the event. This edition was notably marked by the emergence of the concept of hybridisation, as well as an increased presence of drones across all domains. These trends are set to intensify over the coming years, particularly with the growing integration of artificial intelligence. All these developments are ushering in a new era for naval defence and will be at the heart of EURONAVAL 2028.”
Rear Admiral Guillaume Merveilleux du Vignaux, General Commissioner of EURONAVAL
