Exail, ADSB, and TII Join Forces for Autonomous Mine Countermeasure Solutions in UAE

Three organizations, Exail, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), are joining forces in the United Arab Emirates to build advanced robotic systems that can find and neutralize underwater mines.

As part of this collaboration, ADSB has already launched a new 17-meter boat called the 170M Detector. This vessel is equipped with smart systems from Exail to effectively locate and safely remove mines.

Looking ahead, the three partners will work together in the UAE to create a new type of unmanned surface vehicle (a boat without a crew) called the Inspector 125 USV. This new robot boat will use TII’s self-driving technology for the sea and Exail’s T-18 sonar to detect mines. This sonar is similar to the one Exail uses on its underwater drones, which will make finding and classifying mines much faster.

This partnership is a significant step for Exail in the UAE and shows the country’s ambition to become a leader in using autonomous technology for its navy. Representatives from Exail and TII expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing its importance in enhancing the safety and efficiency of naval operations through smart, interconnected systems.
