Cobham to Continue Jet Services to Murrin Murrin, Western Australia for Minara Resources

Cobham has been awarded a five year contract extension by Minara Resources to continue providing fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) services to its Murrin Murrin site in Western Australia.

The contract extension, which commenced in May 2015, involves operating eight return flights per week between Perth and Murrin Murrin. As part of the extension, Minara Resources have upgraded from an 81-seat to a 99-seat BAe146 jet aircraft.

“We pride ourselves on the safety and reliability of our services, supporting top tier resource companies like Minara that operate in regional and remote areas across Australia,” said Cobham’s Regional Services Vice President and General Manager Ryan Both. “Minara Resources is a valued client – we’re proud to have supported them for the past 15 years and we’re delighted to continue supporting them into the future,” Ryan said.

Cobham supports resource companies who operate in regional and remote areas by providing customised jet services to meet individual client requirements.

Recently, Cobham has introduced an Avro RJ85 jet capable of operating to gravel runways in support of Gold Fields Australia’s mining operations located in the Yilgarn Region of Western Australia. It has also introduced an Embraer 190 to support passenger and freight transport to Barrow Island in support of the Gorgon Project.
