AMETEK Strengthens Florida Business Structure With the Appointment of Senior Industry Professional

AMETEK MRO announces the appointment of highly experienced and respected industry professional, Rana Das, to the newly created position of Divisional Vice President and General Manager of AMETEK MRO Florida.

Mr. Das joins AMETEK MRO as part of a streamlining and restructuring process to enhance customer service and maximize the range of integrated aircraft repair capabilities across all of the Group’s Florida facilities. He is responsible for the overall operational and sales strategy for AMETEK’s High Standard Aviation (HSA) and Aero Components International (ACI) businesses.

Mr. Das joins AMETEK from Turbopower, an aviation repair and service provider, where he held the position of President for the past three years. At Turbopower, Mr. Das established the business strategy and successfully grew the Company, improving gross margins and Key Performance Indicators, and streamlining processes.

Prior to that, Mr. Das spent 14 years with The Wood Group/Turbopower serving as Vice President & General Manager and Vice President of Operations. Earlier in his career he was a Six Sigma Black Belt Leader with GE Engine Services. He also held engineering and management positions with Greenwich Air Services, Deutsche Lufthansa, and Air India.

Mr. Das has an MBA/MS degree from Boston University, a BS in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from the Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology in India.
